Not in a Fairy Tale is a collection of love poems that chart the ups and downs of passion and romance. With elegance and power, the book translates emotions from various love scenarios, telling the many stories of love and feelings in between.
This is not ‘boring’ or ‘arsty fartsy’ but a genuine form of ‘The Arts’ that assaults our senses and our mind which is what art is suppose to do.

What to expect from the poetry book
Sectioned in four chapters: Passion, Love, Heartache & Sorrow, each poem tells a story of love, from the first butterflies you feel as your lover’s hand brushes against your arm, the intense attraction when you’re madly in love, to the emptiness from heartache, the grief from sorrow, the pain from adultery. Every type of feeling is intimately described, taking you on a journey where you will question what love really means.
When writing the book, I realised: Sometimes the greatest love, is Not in a Fairy Tale.

Bradbury manages to laden sensuality throughout like a modern-day Keats
These romantic love poems will relate to anyone who has felt both the pangs and joys of love.
Accompanying the intimate poems, illustrator Rev Jackson has beautifully sketched images for the different chapters.
Section from poem: Say Goodbye:
Say goodbye, let’s do it now,
Before we end up married
And forget what sparked our arguments,
Like a couple who moved to the city,
Swallowing pollution
Sneezing out splotches of black dust
On budget tissue,
Say goodbye,
Before we save up for an impossible house,
And end up in story-flat
With rustic furniture and mouldy curtains,
As our neighbours bicker the sound of territorial cats.
I could feel the raw emotion behind each line
