Every weekend, me and my partner have a tradition where we go to the supermarket and choose an indulgent treat (cough, treats) to enjoy. Chocolate, cakes, donuts, ice-cream, croissants… While wonderful as a tradition, it hasn’t exactly been diet-friendly. Since gaining weight, I’ve been trying to find healthier alternatives for home date nights. Nuts was an obvious choice. Just about every fitness enthused celebrity confidently confesses to stashing a handful of nuts in their bag.
The problem is of course, nuts don’t exactly scream: Saturday night decadence. I needed more of a balance – something that could still be considered a dessert. And that’s where Nuts Pick’s Confectionary range came in.

Who is Nuts Pick?
In short, they are a nut company that sells a wide range of nuts (every type you can imagine, including mixed fruit, seeds and crackers). What separates them and makes them a brand I absolutely recommend you try… their nuts are fresh-roasted!
Think about each time you’ve gone to a shop and picked up a bag of nuts, not actually knowing how long they’ve been left to sit in their packet. With Nuts Pick, the minute you place an order, they roast and pack the nuts within 48 hours. They are then shipped straight away so you taste a fresh product.
You’ll be surprised at how different nuts taste when they’re fresh. There is an overall quality and flavour profile that feels incomparable to what I’ve tried before.

Sweet nut combinations for date night
I spent a good five minutes trying to decide which nuts to try. The Nuts Pick confectionary range is super unique and wide in choice. You and your partner will have plenty of options for your romantic snack.
Some of the range includes:
- Sunflower Seeds Milk Chocolate
- Milk Chocolate Pretzel Balls
- Milk Chocolate Banana Chips
- Dark Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans
These are the three confectionary nuts I can’t get enough off:
Milk Chocolate Hazelnut:
I made the terrible mistake of offering these to family members. Very quickly, half the pack was gone. Now, while chocolate might not be the healthiest, I would like to remind you that hazelnut is a source of calcium! At the first bite, you immediately taste a burst of hazelnut. It is not too rich or overpowering – the balance of chocolate and nut really complement each other.
Honey and Cinnamon Cashews
This is what I’d consider the Christmas nut. Picture you and your partner snuggled up with hot chocolate, watching a film with a throw covering your legs, tucking into these. The nut starts off with a cinnamon profile which then leaves a honey aftertaste. There is a bit of a crunch before it softens. If you like honey, you’ll enjoy these.
White Chocolate Caramel Almond
These are so flavoursome! My partner loves caramel – I rightly guessed he’d quickly go for these. While I couldn’t exactly taste the white chocolate, I did enjoy the Sea salt caramel burst combined with the crunch of almond. I feel almond and caramel are a match made in heaven!

Some other flavours to try:
Belgian Mango Chocolate Balls
As part of their newest collection, these Belgian mango chocolate balls are made with real mangoes and coated in milk Belgian chocolate. While I found the flavour perhaps too sweet, a family member said they’re juicy, super soft and very easy to eat.
Cinnamon Spiced Almonds
Simplistic in the best way possible. With these almonds in particular, I could really taste that they were freshly roasted. They are fairly crunchy and more on the savoury side – ideal to balance out the other sweet blends.
Caramelised Cocoa Dusted Peanuts
These peanuts are perfect if you appreciate a strong crunchy flavour. While more on the savoury side, there is an essence of caramelised sugar. Out of all the nuts I reviewed; these peanuts had the strongest after taste. It reminded me of cinnamon.
Nuts Pick Conclusion
Unlike cake – where you can slice and slice and slice some more, I find the confectionary nuts from Nuts Pick quite filling. And although the chocolate and sugary coatings are not the healthiest, in comparison to my usual supermarket desserts they seem a much better alternative.
The only critique I’d offer the brand is to place the names of the nuts on the front of the packaging. The writing isn’t the easiest to spot, which meant I kept having to double-check which packet was which.
Overall, I can see me and partner shopping on Nuts Pick together – especially for his caramel blends. If you love snacking on store nuts but haven’t tasted nuts freshly roasted before, what are you waiting for?
