Years before I was a writer, I worked as a makeup artist where I spent a few days each week on different beauty counters. Every December, I awaited the customers who remembered their partners used a ‘pink lipstick’ and a ‘orangey blush’ and those that simply thought the most well-known brands equalled the best presents. My list of the 8 beauty Christmas gifts you should shop feature an array of beauty gift sets and luxury items that I personally love.
For every budget, there is something for the beauty lover in your life… including you!

Olverum Bath Oil
Developed in 1931, the Olverum Bath Oil is a cult-classic, multi award winning beauty product that is loved by the British Royal Family – so you know it must be good! Containing a mix of therapeutic oils including eucalyptus, lavender and rosemary, the oil helps to revive tired muscles as well as a tired immune system.
With so many highly concentrated oils, I was immediately able to smell the item just by putting it against my nose with the lid still on. It smells exactly like a luxurious spa. I’m a big fan of the occasional bath but dislike how dry my skin can feel after. This oil made my skin feel super smooth and silky. Bath lovers will absolutely love.

The Beauty Worx Eye Shadow Palettes
Relatively new, The Beauty Worx is a trend-led, affordable brand that promotes clean beauty. Ingredients are ethically sourced and 90-95% natural in all of their products. Most items are vegan and none are tested on animals.
For beauty lovers who want to look glam without compromising on sustainable values, the Party Palette is ideal. Usually, I buy palettes where only 25% of the colours are actually wearable but I can practically use all of these colours at any given day. My favourite thing about this palette is that the shadows do not go everywhere. I do have to press a few times to get a good amount of consistency but I don’t have to worry about eye shadow specs floating around!

If you’re after more shimmer, there is also the Champagne Party set. I like adding a hint of these shimmers to the middle of my eye, under my eyebrows and sometimes under my eye.

SOS Lip Replenishing Protecting Lip Balm SPF 30
With a unique blend of botanical extracts, the SOS lip balm with UVA &UVB protection helps to moisturise, repair and soothe dry lips. The balm is both petrochemical and shine free, offering long-lasting hydration and a barrier against environmental aggressors. The brand, designed for sensitive skin, was developed by a chartered scientist and chemist.
Lip balms to me should be on every Christmas beauty gifts guide. Every winter, I suffer from horrible peeling and cracks around my mouth. I initially wasn’t sure how I felt about this balm. The texture is much smoother and thinner compared to others on the market. After a few days however, I realised the balm is a literal saviour. My cracks have been vanishing and according to my partner, my lips feel much softer.

Marine Miracle EyeZone Advanced Eye Concentrate and Crème Signature Moisturiser Gift Set
UK based beauty brand Transformulas, specialise in beauty without surgery. Used by celebrities like Anna Wintour, Simon Cowell and Victoria Beckham, their products promote quick and effective results that are entirely safe. The Marine Miracle Crème is their signature moisturiser and a cult classic that promotes 30-day results. Together in a red Christmas beauty set, the moisturiser and eye cream are loaded with active ingredients, antioxidants and sea marine extracts that work on a cellular level, to reset skin and target skin concerns linked to ageing.
I admit, I’m a sucker for creams that contain marine extracts. I’ve always had a theory that they work better. And these two pots of crèmes have proved me right. When clients asked me about moisturisers, I would put foundation on their skin to test their hydration levels. Dehydrated or dry skin can easily make coverage look cakey and much harder to blend. When I began using this moisturiser and eye cream, I really noticed how seamlessly all my makeup started blending in. In colder months, many of us need rich, hydrating moisturisers – including those with oily skin that’s likely dehydrated. I’m very oily but have no shine issues using these products.

Mavala So Future Collection
Swiss leaders in nailcare, Mavala is a cruelty-free brand that doesn’t test on animals. In their newest collection, they have formulated six nail polishes infused with sparkles and grown-up glitter. The colours combine daytime elegance with night-time extravagance. Reformulated with Silicium, this helps to strengthen nails, prevent brittleness and improve imperfections.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I don’t wear a lot of nail polish – I’m an absolute perfectionist and it takes me forever! The Mavala So Future Collection caught me eye because I thought it looked so cute and fun for this season’s nails. While glitter and sparkles can sometimes sit horribly (sloppy and out of place), the sparkle shades actually sit really well and look classy – I suppose that’s what they mean by grown-up glitter! The brush is easy to use and best of all, I found the consistency great. I didn’t have to sweep loads of polish off the brush when applying.

grüum Skincare Saviours
A young British brand, grüum create sustainable skin and hair products that are inclusive and kind to both skin and the planet. This 3-step Skincare Saviours set is designed to be effective for all ages and skin types. Using natural ingredients like Witch Hazel and Chamomile, the skincare aims to restore the skin’s natural texture and elasticity, all while being gentle.
Want cute beauty Christmas gifts in nice packaging, look no further! I adore that this set comes with a recycled plastic washbag. The products have the loveliest scent which actually received compliments from my partner. The cleanser didn’t feel drying on my skin, the moisturiser left my face feeling supple (though perhaps not rich enough during winter) and the facial tonic is the nicest midday refresher. For someone looking for a new skincare routine, this set is a great place to start!

Ramer Cleansing Shammy for Sensitive Skin
Ramer Sponges is the UK’s leading maker of super-absorbent sponges. Each of their sponges harden as they dry, and will instantly soften again when soaked in warm water (this helps to prevent the growth of bacteria). Hypoallergenic, non-scratchy and machine washable at 40o C, these sponges are a great alternative to disposable wet wipes. The Ramer Cleansing Shammy for Sensitive Skin gently cleanses, removes makeup and makes a perfect base for applying cleansers and lotions.
An Affordable stocking filler and ideal secret Santa! I have shied away from sponges for years because I worried about the hygiene aspect of re-using the same sponge. I have also found many to irritate my skin and cause redness. Using the Ramer cleansing shammy has been such a treat. Not only does it wash at high temperatures, it is ridiculously soft and comforting for my skin. I haven’t noticed any redness or irritation.
