When I felt stressed last week, I didn’t run a bath, complete a workout or practice meditation. I love those activities, but I decided instead to masturbate. Self-pleasure (still slightly taboo for women) can help you relax, enhance your mood and increase sexual enjoyment.
I had the chance to review three of LELO’s incredible sex toys.
About the brands
LOOKFANTASTIC is a go-to for shopping beauty products in one place. The company stocks LELO, a brand known for ‘luxury pleasure’ and high-tech sexual gadgets.
Each of the toys I’m discussing are great to own in general but are aesthetically simplistic and appealing for sex toy beginners. Here are my thoughts on each:
LELO Packaging
In a black box with gold writing, the toys feel luxurious. Each item comes with a USB charging-cord, a detailed instruction manual and a satin storage pouch

1. LELO Sona 2 Cruise
Overview: If you’re wondering how tech will innovate sex toys, look at LELO’s Sona 2 Cruise.
The device uses SenSonic technology – it ‘helps to absorb sonic waves’ and transfer them back to your clitoris for gentle but fast stimulating pleasure. The vibrator reserves 20% of its full battery which you can unleash by pressing the device harder against your skin.
Sona 2 Cruise is made from silicone and works best with a water-based lubricant. You can enjoy in the shower or bath, but water affects the body’s natural lubrication.
There are 12 different modes to experiment with.
Best for: People wanting to experience a leisurely, extravagant orgasm
My experience: I haven’t owned a vibrator before that feels so unbelievably soft! Besides being smooth, it sits nicely in my hand which is what you need when you’re in the middle of self-pleasure.
I tend to put my vibrators immediately on full speed and intensity, but I found that doesn’t quite work with this device. After struggling to use, I decided to try again – pacing my enjoyment. With less rush, I discovered the wonder of this toy.
This is no wham, bam, two-second thrill. I’ve labelled it an extravagant orgasm because that’s what it feels like – the device asks you to take time to dedicate space for pleasure. After gently experiencing each pace, when I felt ready, I pressed harder with the device.

Anyone can find delight in this toy but for beginners, you can really choose when to press and let the Sona ease you in. It’s also good for partners to use as you can guide them through touch rather than buttons alone.
It’s certainly an investment piece but worth the expense if you want to benefit from amazing orgasms.
Additional Feedback: The toy utilises waves and pulses for stimulation, unlike most vibrators that rely on a vibrating motor. If you tend to use dildos or rabbit-shaped toys, it might take you a minute to figure out – don’t let that discourage you!
You can expect a subtle sound but it’s not the most silent vibrator.

2. LELO MIA 2
Overview: They say the best things come in small packages. That is what you can expect from the MIA 2. A global bestseller, the USB-rechargeable device has 6 pleasure settings and is designed with a sculpted tip for more precise pleasure.
It’s also 100% waterproof.
Best for: Travel and powerful discretion. Women who want to masturbate with a device as visually pleasing as their designer lipstick.
Experience: I admit, I had low expectations for this vibrator. Yes, it’s incredibly sleek and beautifully designed. It is a blessing for anyone heading for a romantic weekend away or a trip to their partner’s place. Or, for those living with parents.

But as someone who usually uses a rabbit-shape, I didn’t think the small bullet style would have much impact. Well, I was mistaken!
I cannot believe how much power this compact vibrator holds. When I turned on, I pressed down on the ‘up’ button which led to a rush of speed and an immediate, incredible sensation. Just as quickly as this device can speed up, it can slow down without you losing control.
It sounds as discreet as it looks. I played around with using both sides of the device – despite its size, it feels nice to grip.
Additional feedback: The buttons are not the easiest to locate – I recommend keeping your fingers by the buttons as you turn on, so you can quickly change speed when you wish.
The Mia 2 is currently out of stock on LookFantastic. Click here to be added to the wishlist for notification on when it is next in stock. As an alternative, why not give the LELO GIGI 2 a try!

3. LELO ELLA
Overview: A pleasure object as opposed to a vibrating device; the ELLA is a double-ended dildo crafted with silicone. One side (the flattened tip) is designed to stimulate your G-spot directly, while the thicker, rounder end provides deeper stimulation.
For beginners, it’s an aesthetically welcoming toy to introduce to your sex life or masturbation routine.
Recommended with a water-based lubricant. Can use anally.
Best for: Women seeking a soft, easy-to-use, non-vibrating toy that will help awaken their G-spot.
Experience: Have you ever treated yourself to fancy coat or opulent handbag? Sometimes with items more lavish, you look at them and think – ‘wow, that’s so well made. I understand why this is a luxury piece.’

That’s what sprung to mind when I took out LELO’s ELLA. The silicone feels super silky and soft, and it has such a great design and style – I haven’t seen a dildo shaped like it.
The piece doesn’t need to vibrate – the curved shape gave me so much pleasure on its own. It seamlessly glides against your skin. I came across many reviews promoting the item as a tool that teaches you how to squirt.
The object is perfect for learning the type of pressure and touch that best stimulates your body. I’m looking forward to experimenting some more.
Additional feedback: All I can say is the curve and size of this toy makes all the difference – it’s a different type of pleasure compared to a ‘normal’ shaped dildo.
If you haven’t yet bought yourself a vibrator or sex toy, what are you waiting for?! Treating yourself to this type of self-care should be a necessity – we all deserve the pleasure, release, and sexual satisfaction.
