Design, material and vibration
This is the first vibrator I’ve used where you can bend the toy to find the right angle. The Rave 2 also has an asymmetrical design for twisting. Usually, you need to thrust to enhance pleasure, but this toy requires only a light twist to find the right angle.
The twisting helps the toy stay in contact with your skin and makes it easy to find to the most pleasurable position.
Rave 2 has two different motors — one is for the G-spot and is located on the opposite end of the buttons. The other is positioned around the middle and stimulates the vaginal opening where there are lots of nerves — so extra satisfaction!
Dual motors provide external and internal stimulation which overall intensifies and heightens your experience. The motor on Rave 2 is extremely powerful and rumbly — if you prefer a strong intensity, you won’t be disappointed. Although I wouldn’t call the vibrator quiet, it’s no louder than similar toys on the market. I appreciate the wide variety of pulses and speeds so you can experiment with slow or intense.
The Rave 2 is made with body-safe silicone and has a luxurious soft texture. The asymmetrical design makes it comfortable to grip as some toys can feel too bulky to hold.
Packaging
Nothing particularly caught my eye with the packaging, but the vibrator did arrive discreetly in a thin box. Along with the vibrator, you’ll receive a USB cord for charging, a mini guidebook and a nice storage pouch.
Pros:
Buttons on vibrators are often annoying to figure out while you’re in the middle of play. The Rave 2 has separate buttons to control intensity and vibration mode. This minimises the risk of pressing for speed but accidently altering the type of stimulation. If you do press for a different type of motion by mistake, you can just click the left button without going through every vibration mode again. This is a huge pro for me as not many vibrators have this option.
With the app, you can also control speed and intensity which I prefer. It’s straightforward to download and ideal for play in long-distance relationships. You can take part in video calls and share feedback to help your partner choose the right frequency.
Overall, the vibration speed and twist design sell the Rave 2 — it doesn’t take long to decide which position and movement will ensure satisfaction. Despite the toy’s soft texture, it’s firm enough to insert and hold where you want.
Cons:
If I’m being picky, the strong vibrations can make your hands feel tingly quite quickly — more so compared to other toys. The material picks up lint, so you’ll want to ensure you clean thoroughly before each use and store in the bag provided.
